Home Remedies offers Time Limited Reunification Services in Alexander, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, and Yancey counties.  The program serves families that have children placed in foster care through the Department of Social Services. The goal is to remedy issues leading to placement and prepare the family to reunite with their children in a stable and safe home.

Time Limited Reunification Services are similar to IFPS in many respects. A specially trained worker, who is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides a mix of counseling and skills teaching to help with practical problems that is tailored to each family's unique situation. The worker carries a caseload of four families at a time and can thus spend 10+ hours a week working directly with family members.

To Make a Referral to this Program: Due to strict eligibility criteria, referrals can only be accepted from the Department of Social Services.
